Hello everyone! Welcome to HealthyEatingFun.com. Since this is my first post, I would like to start out telling you a little about myself and in later posts, I will share how I learned to make healthy eating fun! Are you just starting out wanting to be more healthy but not sure where to start? This website is all about healthy eating for beginners like you. I have tried for several years to be more healthy, including what I eat / drink and starting to exercise. I tried lots of times and I would do well for awhile but then always went back to my not so healthy habits. For the past several years, I was getting healthy, then not so healthy, healthy, not so much, etc. I did learn a lot during those years.
Last year in May, I was in such bad shape that it was even hard to breathe. A friend of mine suggested doing a raw food diet. That is when my life changed forever! I stayed on the raw food diet for a little over a year. In fact, I’m still on it as I write this. But I am in the process of changing up and adding in one healthy, clean eating meal a day.
This past year being on the raw food diet was absolutely necessary for me and now I’m excited and looking forward to trying new recipes, which I will share with all of you.
The first week or so was hard being on the raw food diet because it was such a switch from what I was doing. But I learned to just chill and have fun with it. I was being too serious. It didn’t take long for me to adjust to it and I am so happy that I did. I have lost 56 pounds and my A1c is down to 6.2% from a high reading of 9.5%. I’m reversing my diabetes and I couldn’t be happier.
Healthy Eating Fun is all about people just starting to live more healthy with the focus being on having fun with it, which is totally possible! In other words, healthy eating for beginners!
In the following posts, I will talk about what I did this past year as far as the blender drinks I fixed and the juices and other raw food I had. I will also share which blenders and juicers I used and any other accessories that made my life easier in the kitchen. And I will also talk about how I put some fun in all this – Healthy Eating Fun! I want to share all my experiences and tips and recommendations with you so you can feel better, have more energy, get more healthy and possibly even lose some weight.
